I have tried using AJAX for a couple of years now and I love it but I have never been able to get it to work on a production server. Things would work fine when I was working on my site locally but I always had problems with things not working when I moved
it to my server.
There seems to be a lot of differnt versions of AJAX. Before when I donloaded the sample ajax website I noticed that the tag prefix for all the AJAX extensions were different on the sample web were different than the tag prefixes I got when I created the
same controls on my own website.
I have gotton a new computer and really want to try AJAX again so I decided to try again. I've been to the ajax website http://ajaxcontroltoolkit.codeplex.com/Release/ProjectReleases.aspx?ReleaseId=33804 but I'm not sure what file to download. I downloaded
the file AspNetAjaxLibraryBeta0911.zip and AjaxControlToolkitBinary.zip. I then googled install ajax toolkit to try and find a way to set up the toolkit properly and all the directions directed me to a different download and the instructions also indicated
that the ajax sample website was also in the zip file but neither of the files I downloaded had the tool kit.
Can one of you experts direct me to exactly what I need to download for my system? All I want to be able to do is the basic stuff - nothing advanced. I would rather have what is currently being used - no beta. From what I understand, with .Net 3.5, all
I need to download is the AJAX toolkit.
Windows 7, Microsfot .Net Compact Framework 3.5, Visual Studion Professional 2008.
