i am using VS 2008 to design a web site
these pictures will help to explain the problem
and it give this error when starting the page
'C:\Users\mulla\Desktop\Test.WebSite\Students\App_Data\attendance.mdb' is not a valid path. Make sure that the path name is spelled correctly and that you are connected to the server on which the file resides.
what do you thing the problem is ??

try right click on the .mdb file in Server Explorer and select "Refresh"

Change the connection string to this:
and make sure the database is in the App_Data folder.

after doing "refresh" it will be gose for "open" only less then one second then it will go back to "close"

this what i have in connectin string :
Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=C:\Users\mulla\Desktop\Test.WebSite\App_Data\attendance.mdb;Persist Security Info=True
I think the problem is with this one: (Persist Security Info=True)
i wen to "modify connection" then "advanced" to change the option of "Persist Security Info" to false, but it's will not make the required effect , after closing the VS2008 and reopen the website it will goes back to True !!!!
thanks all for your efforts

thanks dear Mikesdotnetting for being here :)
I tried my best, but without success
as i told above, i change it false, but it go back to true
and how to replace it ??
yes, iam using now a directo connection like this one ( it's woking fine):
<asp:AccessDataSource ID="AccessDataSource1" runat="server"

Don't worry about it.
My advice is not to use the AccessDataSource control. It creates its own connection string which can cause problems if you move the application:
