Regarding the ASP .NET cache in the distributed scenarios. With the “Velocity” and .NET 4.0 coming in the nearest future it’ll be a very nice to have the distributed ASP .NET cache mechanism available using System.Web.HttpCachePolicy. When I want want to
cache the ASP .NET page or WCF POX service response on the server in the WEB farm the current implementation doesn’t make too much sense for the short cache times and several servers. The mechanism of the System.Web.HttpCachePolicy is very simple and straightforward
to use comparing to the manual caching through the System.Web.Caching.Cache or some third party distributed cache applications. Will it make sense and be possible to add distributed System.Web.HttpCachePolicy cache functionality (when
HttpCacheability involves Server, maybe add some additional enum value as WebFarm) through callback interface to the distributed memory cache app or configuration settings to the Velocity.
