I have a form which post some Greek characters data in a aspx file
The code in the aspx file is:
InsertNewMessage = "INSERT INTO table1(field1,field2) "
InsertNewMessage = InsertNewMessage & " select "
InsertNewMessage = InsertNewMessage & "'" & request("field1") & "' as text1, "
InsertNewMessage = InsertNewMessage & "'" & request("field2") & "' as text2"
Dim cmd As OleDbCommand = New OleDbCommand(InsertNewMessage, oConn)
The problem is that the Greek characters are written in the Access database as squares but the english are OK

You should try using parameters:
http://www.mikesdotnetting.com/Article/26/Parameter-Queries-in-ASP.NET-with-MS-Access, and why are you referencing the Request() collection rather than the Text properties of controls?

hi - geia,
i don't think that it is a sql problem. because i am using all the time databases and greek characters.
change the encoding of your page.
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html;charset=utf-8" />
hope that helped.
