Hi! We have a server running Windows Server 2003 Web Edition that we'll be using to host a site I'm making in Visual Studio 2008. I found out that the server hadn't been updated and was running .Net 1.0, so I requested that it be upgraded to 3.5 because
we'll be using the AJAX Control Toolkit as well. We ran Windows Update multiple times, and I can see that 3.5 is installed in the "Add and Remove Programs" dialog, but when I try to render the page, I still get a Parser Error when it meets the ScriptManager,
and the version information is:
Version Information: Microsoft .NET Framework Version:2.0.50727.3603; ASP.NET Version:2.0.50727.3082
So that leaves me wondering what else I need to do to get it up to 3.5?
Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I've never maintained a Web Server and the guy who helps us out isn't that reliable, so I'd rather just do it myself.

Have you tried running the " aspnet_regiis.exe -i " command from Command Prompt to install the .net features? (you should be able to find it under at C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727)

Do as Ruan said,
Then in the IIS PROPERTIES, SET ASP.NET VERSION 2.0

I can see that 3.5 is installed on the server, but I can't see it in IIS. All I see is 1.1 and 2.0 which are both enabled. How do I get 3.5 on that list and running? I know it's not because 3.5 includes the AJAX extensions by default and the version information
on the error page show's its only at 2.0.

You will not see .net 3.5 in iiis, .net 3.5 is just .net 2.0 with extra pieces
So iis will say only .net 2.0, choose 2 and check your site
