Anyone who have related experience please help me with the following:
1) Can Windows 7 Home Premium really allow VS2005/VS2008/SQL2005/SQL2008 to coexist and work perfectly? Can these babies really live and play together in their own age group under the same roof? Please advise.
2) What is the proper order to install all the above on windows 7? Please provide a tested step list. I am especally concerned about SSIS/SSRS/SSAS and SQLExpress that, after their installation on the same box, have caused me big headaches in the past .
3) If SQLExpress is installed in our multiple version scenario, should it be 2005 or 2008 or can it be both?
Thanks a lot for any help.

I have VS 05 and VS 08 installed in my Windows 7 both are working fine
Also SQL Server 2005 Express was installed by default with VS 05
Hence I simply installed SQL Server 2008 mgmt studio and database engine
so that with single mgmt studio I can access both
Moral of the story everything working fine
Just install SQL Server 2008 SP1 and VS 2008 SP1 before installing SQL Server 08

You said "Just install SQL Server 2008 SP1 and VS 2008 SP1 before installing SQL Server 08". How can you intall SQL Server 2008 SP1 before installing SQL Server 08?

Yes it needs to be installed before SQL Server 2008 installed. How ? By running the setup I also did the same way.

I don't know any reason for this you can also install after you installed SQL Server 08 only thing is that it will give you warning that this software is incompatible, hence install SQL Server SP1, you can simply click ignore and ask it to continue
