I know you can change columns (show and hide) etc. But what I can’t find is how to change the columns layout.
I have a table called Sud it has the following columns
I have copied and moved ListDetails.aspx page into its own folder under the path DynamicData/CustomPages/Suds/ and this works.
The problem I have is in the way it displays the data which is not conducive to reading the data.
The table is to big for the screen and reads as following
Row1Name Row1aValue..Row1dValue Row2Name Row2aValue..Row5dValue (so it reads across). I need to change the format to make it easy to read.
(record 1) Edit/Delete/Select Row1Name Row1aValue Row1bValue Row1cValue Row1dValue
Row2Name Row2aValue Row2bValue Row2cValue Row2dValue
Row3Name Row3aValue Row3bValue Row3cValue Row3dValue
Row4Name Row4aValue Row4bValue Row4cValue Row4dValue
Row5Name Row5aValue Row5bValue Row5cValue Row5dValue
(record 2) Edit/Delete/Select Row1Name Row1aValue Row1bValue Row1cValue Row1dValue
And so on .........
Does anyone know how to do this can be done. I have look everywhere and cannot find out how to format it so that it looks like the above layout. I get errors when I try to insert tables in to try and format the look.

Hi Kenny, have a look at usihng ListView instead of GridView, you will need to specify all the field and all the templates you want to use but it is the most flexible control for this sort of thing.
You can use DynamicControl
see for details on ListView

Ok thanks for the information. I thought I would have been able to use one of the page templates from the dynamic data site and just move things around. I am suprised that they did not include a ListView as one of the components that gets automatically generated
when you create a dynamic data site. They have Details.aspx, Edit.aspx, Insert.aspx, List.aspx and ListDetails.aspx why not also include a ListView.aspx. I suppose you can't get everything. Thanks for the information.
