Does anybody know how to determine the symmetric key size of the connection established with the HttpWebRequest to a HTTPS website (40, 56, 128 bit)?

You can get the certificate info from [HttpWebRequest].ServicePoint.Certificate. From there, it should be quite possible to get the key size.

I did try that. But I'm not sure it's possible to get connection key lenght from there. Only what I could see there is the certificate encryption key lenght which is not the same I think.

Was my post approved by you nickbor? I wonder, since quite frankly I believe you are correct, and my code does not solve your problem.
