I have recently written a httpModule for logging purposes that records all requests in a Public Static Class for storing the data. This works great in a single application site, but many of the sites I would like to use it on have sub-applications.
The problem is that even when the httpModule is implemented in the machine.config, the static class seems to have a different instance in each sub-application, so the data in the static class only contains requests from that app.
I would like to be able to track requests though the whole site or server without writing to disk, is there anyway to make a Public Static Class global to the server or site instead of the application?

You could put the static class in a Web Service: Separate applications would have access to it.
