i have been attempting to improve my site by adding custom urls to it, and do this i read this post in Scott Gu's blog :
I used method 2 in the options and everything was working well and without a hitch on the local host, i added the configsection :
type="Intelligencia.UrlRewriter.Configuration.RewriterConfigurationSectionHandler, Intelligencia.UrlRewriter" />
and httpmodule :
<add name="UrlRewriter" type="Intelligencia.UrlRewriter.RewriterHttpModule, Intelligencia.UrlRewriter"/>
as well as the conditions :
<rewrite url="~/Home" to="~/home.aspx?id=1" />
all of which worked perfectly, then i tried to put it on my live server and i kept getting this message :
404 - File or directory not found.
The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.
i thought this would be because the home.aspx might be missing, but it wasn't. Can anyone tell me where i have gone wrong? Thanks Si

Have you cross checked the httpmodules entry as well other required tag entries in web.conig.
Also placed dll in bin.

The .dll is in the bin (on the live server) and my web.config has this in the configsection :
<section name="rewriter" type="Intelligencia.UrlRewriter.Configuration.RewriterConfigurationSectionHandler, Intelligencia.UrlRewriter" />
and this this the httpModules section :
<add type="Intelligencia.UrlRewriter.RewriterHttpModule, Intelligencia.UrlRewriter" name="UrlRewriter" />
what do you mean by cross checked the httpModules entry can you please explain? the files in the Bin are called :
Thanks a million in advance Si
