I am trying to invoke a multipage (remote ) report from asp.net page using report viewer.
The report shows up fine, but when i click on next page button on the report viewer tool bar, it always gets me the first page.
any ideas how to fix it ?

If you bind the report to the Report Viewer control programmatically, please check whether you set the AsyncRendering to true or include the bind code within not ispostpack bracket, otherwise it will post the page back and re-execute the bind method when
you click the nevigation button, so you will always get the first page of the report.
If you bind the report to the Report Viewer control directly, please try to use the following code.
<rsweb:ReportViewer ID="ReportViewer1" runat="server" Font-Names="Verdana"
Font-Size="8pt" Height="400px" ProcessingMode="Remote" Width="400px">
<ServerReport ReportPath="/Report Project21/Report6"
Please feel free to let me know if I’ve misunderstood anything.

Hi Zong-Qing Li,
I know this is a very old thread. But I am having the same issue and my reportviewer is bound programmatically. I have AsyncRendering set to true and the bind code is declared inside a button click event. I have been researching on this same problem for
is undefined). I know it's there because it still displays the report on the page. I just don't understand why it throws this error. Do you have any idea?

You can avoid js error by removing 'ClientController' part from the string 'ClientControllerctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_rptVwr'. In 2010 the 'ClientController' is no more used. I have been facing similar problem and after removing this part I have been successful
in this. HTH
