I am writing a WCF client that calls a java webservice so I want to use basicHttpBinding. The java webservice is requiring an encrypted password following XWSS security standards.
I have my binding configured like:
In the example request I have, the password needs to be encrypted, but when I am making the request with the above settings the password is in clear text. How can I configure this so the password is encrypted? The service is hosted on an SSL secured webserver.
Do I need to get a certificate from them and install it and point to it or should just the fact that my endpoint is referencing an https URL be sufficient?
Thank you for your help, I am new at this!
