For these days, I's developing websites targeting PCs. Now, Im looking for a change to Mobile platform. I got some wild queries before I start.
a) I know there is a Mobile Development kit in Visual Studio. What exactly is the purpose of that kit?
b) Is the Mobile Developement Kit in VS, is suitable for developing both mobile-applications or mobile-web-application?
c) Will the mobile-application, run on Windows Mobile only?
d) Will a mobile web-application developed using VS, can be viewed in mobiles other than Windows? Does viewing in other mobiles require any extra-application installation?
e) Is there any books available for developing mobile-application?
f) Is the any dedicated online-resources available for starting mobile development?
Hoping I havent made it worse. Atleast, Im expecting a reply for questions
(e) and (f)?
Any help will be appreciated?
Looking forward for valuable responses.

There are two basic things that you can do with Mobile development
i) Mobile Applications
- It is same as desktop pc application/softwares.
- You can develop mobile applications that will run in mobile using mobile OS resources
- E.g. Inventory Software, Games, Contact Management, Custom Chat Softwares, Email Clients etc.
For above developments windows provides SDK. Please review following

ii) Mobile Websites
- Design/Develop websites that will run on different types of mobile devices.
- If you have have website that runs on desktop pc/laptop which you want to make access on variety of mobile devices is another development area. Now a days many client running business on ecommerce website want to have mobile version of there websites. This
area of development will have large base in future when most of ther user will have internet in there mobile
