I am setting up synchnization btw ldap server and AD. Basically we try to pull some data under ou=myorgusers,dc=myorg,dc=com. We only have one domain with multiple dc.
We have more thousands users, which caused the failure for the pulling due to the default setting for maxpagesize (which is 1000).
I have done a lot of search and tried to find a way to apply a special value for maxpagesize (like 5000) for my service account (which is used to pull ID from AD, for eg. cn=superadmin,ou=myorgusers,dc=myorg,dc=com"). Does anybody has any idea on this?
Thanks in advance!

You do not apply pageSize for the service account. You apply the pageSize to the directorysearcher object. The service account is to only read. Let us see some code.

Thank you for replying. I understand you setup the controle in your code. However, I am not coding, instead of configuring an ldap server to sync with AD. In order for the synching, I need create a service account in AD side (which has admin priviledge)
to pull all required data over from AD. I though AD admin account could bypass all the limit, which in fact is not true.

Whatever tool you are using to query: AD you can set the max page size. when I query AD using the default ADSI tool, there is filter options where I can set the "Maximum number if items displayes in the folder".
Hope this helps
