How can I (if I can) start asp.net app on iis7 and server 2008 who was done with .net 2003 . Now app like working, but if I want to edit it, I cant to start app -Error : Visual Studio .NET cannot create or open the application. The likeliest problem
is that required components are not installed on the local web server. Run Visual Studio .NET setup and add the web development component

I think Front page server extension is not included with Windows 2008 server , it's a separate download. See

To run asp.net web application,
ASP.Net components must be installed on the server, you can install this by choosing from "Add or Remove Windows Components Under
Add Or Remove Programs" under Control Panel

Visual Studio .NET cannot create or open the application.
To open your app in VS.NET 2003 you need Frontpage Server Extensions. See
www.iis.net or download them as mentioned above. This has nothing to do with your ASP.NET configuration.
