Hi all, I developed a project vs 2005 and ms sql server. I tested my project in my local machine, and then tested it in iis installed fine. What I want to do is to deploy my project in a server. Our company has it s own server and another website running
on it. I want my site to be accessed remotely from other machines, but I didn t register a name. Should I use ports? or anything else? and how can I do this all, thanks

You can create a web site and configure it to use the 8080 port.
On intranet this should work.
Another solution is to associate another ip adress to your website, see ths article:
The last solution is to use host headers, you can use one ip with multiple site, see this:

Create Virtual Directory in your Remoteserver IIS, and move the source files to remote server virtual directory, access these files using remote server IP address

Try to access it using IP ..by creating virtual entries for this application on the server.

I assume that would be only possible when web hosting service provider will be able to provide that and people will access to the web site using IP adress
