I have some images that are not showing up with some phones/browsers. My large header image (5kb) shows up on everything. I have two horizontal gold line images that do not. They are each less than 1kb. I have a Blackberry Curve. The line images show up
on my Blackberry browser. When I test in Opera Mini, they do not show up in 'Mobile View' but do when I turn off 'Mobile View'. I have also tested on a Blackberry Pearl. The lines do not show up on its default Blackberry browser (even when I emulate MS Pocket
I dont know if this is an issue of image size, or what. Has anyone run into this issue, and if so, is there a workaround for it?

Dont have much experience with mobile dev (any experience) so just thinking out loud...
What file types are the images?
Do phones support png and bmp like a desktop does?

I was thinking the same way. The image(s) are jpg. I converted them to gif (no luck) and bitmap, thinking the larger size would help the image render, and again, no luck. In mobile dev, you have no control over the height and width of your controls, including
images, and the mobile form sized the controls accordingly.

Are they all <img> tags or backgrounds of divs? Or a mix?

For your comment "In mobile dev, you have no control over the height and width of your controls, including images, and the mobile form sized the controls accordingly."
Please look at following
http://www.51degrees.mobi/Products/MobileToolkit/tabid/62/Default.aspx it provides free mobile web controls for image to
Optimise image size, colour depth and image format for each mobile device. It supports WML, cHTML, XHTML, HTML and Device Variations.
You can find sample tutorial showing the image demo here
Hope this answers your issue

I think his question here is working with mobile standard control of asp.net and how to manage them, guy.
I wonder if you used DeviceSpecific control or this problem happened when using with Nokia browser.
