Anyone knows how to create a multiline text box in reporting services. Is that functionality available? I have some data that might be too big to be displayed in my report. I also could not figure out how to set row span for it? Any advise?

Try using "vbcrlf"
e.g "Hello" & vbcrlf & "world"

Can you give me an example on how to do this in Reporting services 2008? the text box usually takes the column value as an input.

Pretty straight forward, in your text box expression you'd need to put in something like:
="Course Name: " & Fields!CourseName.Value & vbcrlf & "Course Year: " & Fields!CourseYear.Value
And that should give you the following result:
Course Name: First Course
Course Year: 1st
Hope that helps.

I need to show data having some 1000-7000 characters in a single text box.
the Data contains muliple Codes with their Description some thing like this,
Code1 This is code 1 description and it may span upto multiple lines
Code2 This is code 2 description and it may span upto multiple lines
Code3 This is code 3description and it may span upto multiple lines
The Problem here is i have to maintain the space between code and Description so that all code should start on the same vertical line.
Code1 This is code 1 description
Code22 This is Code 22 Description and it will span into multiple lines like this
this line is also code 22 description
Actually in Sql Query itself i am Using Space to maintain the Gap.But i am using Arial Font.
In Arial Font the width is different for diferent characters even with the same font size.
so the Description is not starting on the same vertical line. Can any one help me in this.
Thanks in Advance!!
