I am running
I have created a very simple aspx page with just a Hello World text, but whenever i hit F5 the browser shows the following message on the browser.
Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage
I have tried to run the page on different browser but to no use. I m not able to figure out at which end the problem is occuring. I have reinstalled my VS 2008 and have installed all the features of IIS available .
I have also tried to change the properties of the application by changing from
Use Visual Studio Development Server to Use Local IIS Web Server
under the Properties -> Web Tab.
I have tried to run the same project on other developers' pc and it seems to be working perfectly. Its even working fine the VM on my very own machine (OS: Win2K3).
I think the issue is at IIS 7.0 end but i dont have any significant know how of it.
Its getting very frustrating, can any one please help.

Unless you configured VS to use IIS instead of the internal development server, pressing F5 won't launch the app in IIS.
Have you configured an application in IIS and configured IIS to run ASP.NET? Have you looked at event logs or the IIS logs? Turn off friendly errors in IE as well so you can see the real message. Have you turned off the firewall or security software?
Can you get the default IIS page?

It was definately the darn ESET Smart Security 4.0.
