I have a little asp.net project with SQL-DB. Currently I want to switch from shared webhosting to a virtual server (20 € / 30 $), having Win 2003, SQL Express, 768 MB RAM, 10 GB HDD. Now I've read a lot about Windows Azure and Amazons Hosting but I still
don't know whether this might be of interest for me.... I'm willing to spend additional money for this new technology, let's say 40 € / 50 $, but I don't know what I get for this.... Currently my project is not open to the public, so I don't know how much
traffic there might be. And I don't want to pay too much, but with cloud computing it's impossible to define the costs before... I don't want to end up in paying hundreds of dollars ... :-( Later on I might make some money with the project, but currently it's
free for everyone.
Maybe someone might help me out of this? The costs are my main point, i don't need high availability etc. because the virtual server host also guarantees 99% (yes, i know, some users might complain when the website is down for 5 minutes, ....)
Thanks a lot in advance!

IMHO will be fine with Windows 2003/2008, just get at least 1 GB RAM.

OK, already thought that. Thanks for your comment!
