I'm having trouble consuming a web service with VB.NET 2008 Express (have never done it before). I created the web service with Microsoft Web Developer 2008 Express and the service runs fine from view-in-browser in the Web Developer Solution Explorer.
I didn't seem to have any problem creating a service reference to it in my VB.NET project and the service reference (called "Basic Service") appears in my project's Solution Explorer.
However, without even trying to run the project, I have a syntax error in the line, "Dim module6WebService
The error says "Type 'localhost.BasicService' is not defined."
Both the web service folder and the VB project are on the same (XP Home) machine and the web service is declared as Public.
Does anyone know what's causing the error?

I got some great help from outside the forum.
Turns out that
should have been
in the 2008 version.
Thanks to all who took the time to look at my problem.
