We are developing a mobile site for smartypig.com and targetting any html capable device. However, to keep network traffic to a minimum we want to disable all ajax / scriptresource.axd / scriptreference.axd generated tags. I've removed System.Web.Extensions
Any help would be appreciated.

I'm quite aware of the complexities associated with a mobile site. However, our target devices are strictly those with html-compliant browsers. We've gotten a mobile professional to build the site markup and styles for us and have simplistic device detection
needs to be conditionally included and I don't have that kind of run-time control over ASP.NET's generation.
Thank you for your comments, but none of them related to the question asked. How do I disable the script tag generation? Removing the ScriptManager and removing the web.config and project references to System.Extensions helped rid most of them, but certain
controls still render scripts to do certain tasks. For example, the form still attempts to set default focus even after I removed all setting of the default focus.
Please try to answer the question at hand. Any help in this regard would be greatly appreciated.
