I am writing an ASP.Net (C#) mobile application and need to be able to transfer a file to an FTP site - has anybody implemetnted this please? I am finding there is no support for the System.Net.FtpWebRequest class in VS2008 for a mobile solution, so I am
wondering what alternative there is for this please?
Any help most appreciated.

if it is true that System.Net.FtpWebRequest is not supported you can use ASP.NET Web Forms for your FTP page.

Yes thank you I was aware of that but what I need is a way to do the same from a PDA device. It seems strange that such functionality is not available as I can browse to the web from a PDA so you would think it would be possible to do as such..?

I dont't know what you mean. You can use regular ASP.NET Web Forms for PDA.

No I didn't know that. So I can create a standard aspx with a code-behind cs file and it will all work? How about publishing? If I publish the web page then how do I ensure it is published in the correct format?
Sorry for sounding daft but this whole side to development is new to me.

If your target devices are PDAs with Windows Mobile 6.x or iPhones for instance you dont't need the adaptive rendering of ASP.NET Mobile Controls, i. e. output of device dependant markup like WML or XHTML-MP.
