Assuming your install of the server went ok and the server is running, you should be able to put in
Server Name: "localhost"
If that doesn't work, what's the error you get?

Installation of SQL Server Compact Edition went all right and I tried entering 'localhost' as server name,
still Management Studio was not able to recognize that and was trying to connect to some remote server.
However, now I have downloaded SQL Server Express Edition and Management Studio was able to show me the local servers list.
But, I still wonder why It was not showing with Compact Edition?

You dont have to specify such details when you are connecting with compact edittion. do the following steps to check your connection
1. Add SqlDataSource to your form
