I have my webapplication developed in VS2008.
Inside the list of Project Components i have a folder , where users can upload images.
It works without any issues, when i run the application debug mode in VS2008.
Once i Publish it, the folder gets created under IIS webserver directory.
But users are not able to upload files to this folder. It give permission denied.
It worked in one way, when i enabled write access for ANONYMOUS USERS and IUSR , for that specific folder under IIS Webserver.
The problem is every time you publish, it resets the permission of the folder under IIS webserver.
Is there a better fail safe way... ?

Technically that is the only way to really do it, unless in your Publish folder you add a web.config that sets the impersonation of a user that has ultimate control over that folder (usually not the best) however make sure user doesn't have execute permissions
on the folder.
