Gives this error:
I can however access the usercontrol itself
The usercontrol's property that I have exposed is ucBenes.nameValue, how would I go about accessing this?
Articles suggest that I make ddBenes a public, but how do I do that if the control was dragged from the toolbox and not explicitly declared?
I know I haven't typed this in the most constructive manner, but its been a long day :(, if anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.

Instead of this: var ddObj = document.getElementById('<%=ucBenes.ddBenes.ClientID%>');
try this: var ddObj = document.getElementById('<%=ucBenes.FindControl("ddBenes").ClientID%>');
