Hi, i need help. The FCKeditor is great and is perfect for the beer house.
The thing is, the [CODE] only works whilst writing in the FCKeditor, once the post is posted then the format goes. How can i make the format work for the posts too?

Not sure I understand the question. Are you saying that the code tag doesn't render properly when an article is displayed?

yeah, the text editor works fine... It's just when the data is displayed in a forum, i want the tag styles to show.
I've edited the 'Code' tag style so it is to my liking. When it is used in the actual text editor in the addnewpost page, it displays it fine. However, when it is shown in the viewpost page it does not show the code style.

First try it in an alternate browser. See if it is happening in both FireFox and IE. It's possible it could be a browser-specific thing. You may need to add a CSS style rule to target the <code></code> tag in posts.
Second, do a View > Source on the output page and see if the proper tag is even there. If it's not, it's getting stripped out somewhere.
Third, if it is getting stripped, you need to find out if that's happening on the way TO the database, or on the way OUT of the database onto the page. Use the Server Explorer to look at what is actually getting stored in the database. If the tag is in not
in the dB record, it's happening somewhere between the button click and the Insert. If the tag is in the dB but not on the page, it's happening somewhere between the Select and the page rendering.

On the display thread page source it gives the code a class of "Code"
Now, does this mean that there's not a proper connection between the page and stylesheet?

What exact tag is this code class on? Can you show us the tag you're seeing in the source?

I got it, thanks!
I connected the master page to the stylesheet with the "Code" style in. Then the layout went weird so i deleted the un-needed "body" section and now it works!

Cool. I sometimes find when you ask enough questions, you can get someone pointed in the right direction at least.
