Can someone point me to articles on displaying database errors effectively with a dynamic data site.
I have data integrity set at database level (constraints, triggers etc..). When I attempt to do something that vioates this integrity the operation obviously fails (which is good). On the DD site however I only get 'Error on page' in the status bar at
the bottom whereas I would like to display the actual violation error text coming from the database.
Any help here would be appreciated.

When you're doing development, set EnablePartialRendering to false - but that's only for development. Unfortunately the story is not good for catching DB side errors (such as constraint violations). The problem will be solved in the next
version of Dynamic Data.
If you're using Linq to SQL, you can at least trap errors from the OnX (where X is saving/update/delete property).

Do you have an example of how I can trap the onx error's.
Can I determine what error happended?

Handling database exceptions in Dynamic Data shows how to do this.
