A while ago Microsoft had a free hosting site where you could upload your site purely for testing and development purposes. The site would expire after 30 days or so. Was great for learning etc.
Does anyone know if this exists? And what are details?
Thanks in advance.

I have not heard about free hosting from Microsoft, but Brinkster offered such services ago.
You could also host for free on you home PC -
host an asp.net 3.5 website on home Windows XP machine.

How about your own system? Visual Studio/Visual Web Developer has a built-in development server. You can install IIS if your system supports it as well.

If you are looking to play around and develop, you can do this on your own machine.
Try that out. Have fun!

Thanks everyone, I have purchased a domain, and hosting for a year, now I can use that to develop and test on.
Doing it on local PC is OK, it works fine, but then never works when ported to a public server, that is why I want to do it this way rather than local, sort the pains out in the beginning!!
