Before I proceed to my question I would like thank asp.net forum team who responded to my query by creating a separate section in advanced asp.net forum in the form of "asp.net and windows worklfow integration".
I am working on a small application which is kind of portal( or to be precise ticketing application) where tickets will be created , raised , escalated , closed etc etc by the users of the application . Now since there is going to be a lot of human interaction
in this application , it becomes a suitable application for implementing windows workflow foundation.
Problem started when I had to host my web application in asp.net web application . Following are some of the questions which have been troubling me for some time :-
a.) How easy it is to pass data from workflow to host application in case of asp.net web application as host ? For eg , I want to raise some event in workflow to which host will respond (here I want to update the UI) .
b.) The persistence service which is provided by default is it enough or does it require some customization if workflow is targeting production envoirnment.
c.) Is it okey to have layered architecture in my workflow ie Host will raise some event , event will be handled by workflow and its here I want o do some database operation . For this operation can I have multilayered architecture in worflow (BIZ , CRUD
I know that since its a very new thing but still any words on this will be of great help to me .
