We are getting an old problem in a new way.
About 2 weeks ago we ran into a computer virus. Since that time the Application Pool for our web apps has not been behaving properly. We keep getting this error in the event logs:
Failed to execute request because the App-Domain could not be created. Error: 0x80070005 Access is denied.
Everything we have read about this problem on-line would indicate that there is a problem involving the Network Services account and permissions on the applications directory. However, none of this infomration has changed. We have been over it with a
fine toothed comb and everything is setup as per the recommendations.
However, if we make a new application pool that runs as the local system (which is way too much privelidges and a huge security risk), and assign the web applications to that pool, the applications start running again with no problems.
By the way, whatever has happened has also affected our services that are runnning on the same machines (not web services, but the system services). Basically anything running .NET Framework. Changing
We have uninstallaed the complete framework and resinstalled with no affect. Any ideas?

Sounds like you're still not fully recovered. Simple answer is to flatten the box and reinstall the OS and a known good backup. Tougher answer is to fix whatever permission errors are happening. Post the full error message and any log entries in the forums
at www.iis.net for help.

We had exactly the same problem, last week and now we had the same error message:
"Failed to execute request because the App-Domain could not be created. Error: 0x80070005 Access is denied. "
Did you find any solution to resolve this problem?
Thank you for your help
