I've been running my web application in a Virtual Dedicated Server that is in a box that is has ten other VDS's. My SQL Server database is in a different server and shared with many other users.... your typical shared hosting environment. My application
only takes up 1GB of space and I only use about 40GB of bandwidth per month...... I need a faster server environment.
1. Get 1 VDS for my web application and one VDS for SQL Server (I have a license)?
2. Get a farely high-end Dedicated Server with Windows 2008 and have both IIS and SQL Server in the same machine?
I've got my eyes on GoDaddy.... option 1 would cost me about $90-$100 per month and option 2 would cost me about $150 per month.
What's the better option?

The second option will be much better.

The 2nd option will always be good as physical server is certainly more powerful than a virtual server. You won't be sharing the server with any other users which will allow you total control and flexibility [:)]
