A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider:
SQL Network Interfaces, error: 26 - Error Locating Server/Instance Specified)

Yes you can use SQL Server Standard edition, you will have to attach the personal.mdf file to the SQL Server 2005 database engine instance. Make sure that you move the personal.mdf file to the SQL Server Data folder.
http://www.aspfree.com/c/a/MS-SQL-Server/SQL-Server-2005-Introduction-to-SQL-Server-Management-Studio/2/ for instructions on how to attach a database or ask your IT admin.
You will also need to change your connection string in the web.config file to point to the SQL Server.
