SQL Server 2005 - Non-Express Edition Setup
You can use the same .mdf and .ldf files that were distributed with the code download,
but you need to attach them to your SQL Server 2005 database. You also need credentials
to allow you to use the new database.
1) Copy the .mdf and .ldf files to a folder on the SQL Server computer, and name them
with a name you like. This is how I named mine:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\Data\TheBeerHouse.mdf
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\Data\TheBeerHouse_Log.ldf
IS the starter kit tidy, or are my first impressions wrong, that this starter kit maybe a mess...

There are several places from which to download this; and some may be less reliable than others.
I would suggest getting it from:
The files should be named ASPNETDB.mdf and aspnetdb_log.ldf
Considering this kit has been successfully downloaded and implemented by several tens of thoudands of people, maybe it's not so much of a mess as you might think.
