I'm trying to get this work.
I have a solution with several projects.
For maintenance reason I want to limit project configuration to "Debug" and "Release", except for the webdployment project that should have a configuration per target hosting environment.
The solution also has matching configuration.
Solution : Debug, StagingSolutionConf, ProductionSolutionConf (so not copied to other projet)
Project : Debug,Release
WDP : StagingWdp, ProductionWdp
When set to StagingSolutionConf, the solution should only compile the WDP.
The point is when trying to resolve the reference (project ones) it seems to try to get them with the WDP configuration StagingWdp, do not find it so try to launch an MSBuild with StagingWdp config.
But there's not Outpath setting for this non existing configuration.
Is there any way to get this work without creating a project configuration on each project ?
I found that with a previous version of Microsoft.WebDeployment.targets (november 2005) I do not get that error, but lot of thins concerning ResolveNonMSBuildProjectOutput were aded in the new version.
My version was released february 9th 2006...
Thanks for your help.
The OutputPath property is not set for this project.
Please check to make sure that you have specified a valid Configuration/Platform combination. Configuration='StagingWdp' Platform='AnyCPU' C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Microsoft.Common.targets 490 9
