I am planning an ecommerce site, I want to know certain practical information.
site will be in Net 2.0 or 3.5, with Sql server 2005 as back end
I want to register a domain name - who will it ( what is the cost involved)
I have no webservers attached to Internet/ or any name servers. Who will host it (24x7x365) basis,
any truststworthy agency available for taking up registration and hosting.
if we register directly, how can I give server name(IP address) with DNS server names before I finding hosting agency
thanks in advance

1. Here you could find some domain name registers:
2. You should find a web hosting company regarding your criteria.
3. You do not need to give an IP address or DNS when you buy a domain name. Also most of domain registers provides DNS services.

SoftsysHosting.com - they support .NET 2.0 and 3.5 and also provide SQL Server 2005 databases. I am using them for some of my clients since long and they are really fantastic. They will also provide you support to register your domain name while signing
up with them.
If you have little higher budget (around $20/mon), you can check Discountasp also.

I gone through this site, http://www.softsyshosting.com/Win08Hosting.aspx
I prefer startup plan, but I have a doubt about bandwidth (only 5 gb per month)
what actually this bandwidth means here, Mine is an ecommerce site with paypal

Bandwidth is the amount of data transfer that happens on your website. For eg. if your web page is 50Kb in size and the page is viewed 100 times, the bandwidth used by your website will be 50Kb * 100 = 5000 Kb i.e. 5 MB. The plan you referred is having
5 gb bandwidth and I think this will be more than enough for an average website. If you need more, you can purchase additional bandwidth addon or upgrade your plan.
