I have created a series of C# custom web controls. Specifically 9 of them. They work great. I have now come to the point where I need to add another control - called "Programme Search". It's going to be much more advanced than the previous controls
which are just standard data entry objects. I have built a really basic frame for the control which simply outputs a couple of Table objects and a button. I build the component project (All the components are in the one project at the moment) and publish
it. But when I open the project that is to use the component, it will not recognise it. This is weird because it has never had any issue with any other component in the project.
I have tried deleting the compiled DLLs from both the Components Bin dir and the calling programmes Bin dir, and the Obj/Debug versions as well.
Any ideas? It feels like the programme is caching?

Please make sure that all the meta data on your custom server control class level is in the correct format. Besides, try to create another simple custom server
control in your current control library class, build it. And try to check if the simple custom server control can work in your webform application. If it can, please check the first control, it must be something wrong.
Besides, you mentioned that it will not recognize the control. Do you mean you met the error after you drag the control onto your webform, or you even can’t see
the control in toolbox? If it’s the second scenario, you may check if your control is the invisible control, such as DataSet and etc. If so, you may set your VS to display the invisible control in toolbox.
If the problem still exits, please paste your whole code.
