I've used UrlRewritingNet on several projects and have not had any problems. On my current project, it was decided to use .html extensions instead of .aspx extensions. I ended up being able to get this to work by adding a mapping to aspnet_isapi.dll for
the .html extension in IIS. Now I just get a "Internet Explorer cannot display this page" page in IE or a blank page in Firefox for static HTML files. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong because rewriteOnlyVirtualUrls="true" is set for UrlRewritingNet, the
static files don't match any rewrite rules, and I don't have any authorization rules set that would block access.
I set up the tracing in web.config and it is displaying several entries for my static files every time an access is attempted (indicating a loop possibly?).

Fixed. Added a static file handler to my web.config file as suggested in the post
It works, but I am curious...Will the application always compile in such a way that my rewrite module will execute before the static file handler?
