I am taking over a website done in VS.NET 2003. This was FTP'd to me by it's previous developer. I can't seem to open the solution file. I get the error message:
"Unable to open Web project 'PWG01_Website'. The file path 'C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\PWG01_Website' does not correspond to the URL 'http://Localhost:/PWG01_Website'. The two need to map to the same server location. HTTP Error 401: Access Denied."
I have the project file and all of the corresponding files. I set up a virtual directory for it in the local IIS. The Alias for the site in IIS is: 'PWG01_Website'. The direcotry for the files are "'C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\PWG01_Website" and I allowed it to
Read and Run scripts.
Does anyone have any idea why it would toss that error at me by chance? Thanks in advance.

I think u lost .vbproj.webinfo file from your "PWG01_Website" dir.
If u lost webinfo file then u have to create it as follow
<Web URLPath = "'http://Localhost:/PWG01_Website/PROJECTNAME.vbproj" />
