I have problem when I create setup project. My project contains 5 dll (4 only code and one workflow which uses those dll's) and during setup action I want to call for all those dll's with stsadm nad gacutil commands.(Also add proper inscriptions in web.config)
In order to automate this process I need to obtain the site where those files should be deployed. During setup the user selects from combobox the AppPool and Site (those are informations from IIS). Could someone help me how to obtain those informations where
are they stored during the process? The physical storage on disk I obtained from
The deployment is aimed on SharePoint.
Thx in advance for any help.

We can use CustomActionData Property (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/2w2fhwzz%28VS.80%29.aspx) which allows you to store information about the installation that can be
read by the custom action. The CustomActionData property takes a format of /name=value.
For more information, please refer to
I look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks Tomas for reply,
Those are very useful information but I'm looking fro information that is defined in default installation. During setup user selects address of installation ,
My question is: how to obtain those informations in my custom setup?
How to obtain the name of this Site and the Application Pool name? Any idea ?
