I am using SQL Server 2000 database with VS 2005 VB.NET Application.
I need to enter and save into the database Russian and Chinese characters.
I have made the following entry into web.config
All required database columns are nvarchar.
I am still not able to correctly save or retrieve and display the data. The data entry is through a textbox and display is required both in textbox and gridview.
Please let me know if there are any other settings required

I removed the web.config entry. And added a line in the data access layer.
objType = DbType.String
- new line
This ensures that unicode characters are passed correctly to the database.
