well, a simple question: can we keep the same infrastructure for HMC 4.5 which was deployed for HMC 4.0? the reason why this question popped up in my mind is that the HMC 4.5 has only a few changes. i mean, SP1 versions. yes, there is some change in MPS.
anyway, what i want to know is that, whether can i use the same servers installation which was deployed for HMC 4.0, in HMC 4.5? or which servers i will be needing to re-install? i had combined CAS and UM (combined as CASUM and with Exchange 2007 SP1) servers
in HMC 4.0. can i still use combined CASUM for HMC 4.5?

Yes you can, you can in fact upgrade your whole installation to 4.5 ( there is guidance for that). This guidance gives you the order of doing things here. in some accasions you have to update the components first, in some you have to update the MPS stuff
Two weeks ago I delivered the EMEA HMC 4.5 course in Veenendaal and we did just that: upgrade a 4.0 HMC installation to 4.5
if you have more questions, do not hesitate to ask me.

If I may piggyback of this original question if I may to extend it a bit further. We are currently using MPS with HSSP, I understand that there will not be a version of HSSP supported in version 4.5 of HMC. I have heard that MPS may be being integrated
into Biztalk, do you have any info on the roadmap for MPS and Provisioning in general. Many thanks.
