Hi, I have a set of user controls that was a web deployment project in VS 2008 (SP1). When I build the solution in VS2008, the user control projects in the solution all build. They are set to build with delayed signing using our public key (.snk) file.
When the web Deployment part of the build kicks off I get a message that the assemblies created in the earlier part of the build have strong names that can't be verified:
Error 2 Could not load file or assembly 'MyCompany.UserControls, Version=184.108.40.206, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=a505b6270907a337' or one of its dependencies. Strong name signature could not be verified. The assembly may have been tampered with,
or it was delay signed but not fully signed with the correct private key. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131045) ASPNETCOMPILER 1 1 UserControls.csproj_deploy
I have verified that all projects are using the same .snk file for delayed signing. Has anyone run into this or know what the problem might be? I'll throw in a possible red herring - this works fine on my W2K3 environment but doesn't work on my W2K8 environment...
