I have the situation as follow on windows platform.
If there is active directory in windows server, user login to windows and then need to use some web application or windows application. What is the authenication of single sign on in web or windows application?

is it only to configure in the web.config? How about in coding? Moreover, in the login control, only username and password, not domain. Do I need to create my own login form?? It seems that login control not deals with active directory. Then coding is the

Not sure I undertand properly. You can use Login control for AD. It works pretty well. MSDN examples are pretty good. You can build your own login and the code-behind can vaslidate the user. In this case you need to bind with AD using the input credentials.
