everyone i know is completely going crazy about ASP.NET 2.0 resource files - i mean, i'm loading the stuff out of my DB and its working just fine - why should i bother using resource files? (and: for each language an extra resource file will explode the
project-file-tree) i can't see any disadvantage using this approach; though, i may be "blind"? (caching the DBqueries is also no isse since this does my ORM layer for me).
what explicit advantage do resource files have?

yes, but there is (erm...should be) no difference between the cached values in my DB/ORMlayer in comparison to getting the stuff from a resource file, which will also be cached after the first query?
