I'm trying to run a web application built on VS2003 (.NET 1.1) on a Windows Vista machine. When i create a new web application I get this prompt:
"""visual studio .net has detected that the web server is running asp.net version 1.0. The web application you are creating or opening can be configured to be compliant with 1.0. However, the webapplication will not be able to use new features from ASP.NET
1.1. What do you want to do?
1. Do not open the application. I will upgrade the ASP.NEt on the server to the latest version before proceeding. (Recommended).
2. Make the application compliant with ASP.NET 1.0."""
I chose option 2 and proceed. Now, when I run the application, I get the error: """Error while trying to run the project: Unable to start the debugging on the web server. Could not start ASP.NET or ATL server debugging. Verify that ASP.NET or ATL server
is correctly installed on the server"""
Any help is much appreciated.
