I have implemented a simple web service on a remote webserver, passing on the data of a MS Access table (Id, name, city)
and returning a dataset
An aspx page on On my local machine consumes this dataset and displays it in a Gridview:
Dim wsTest As New localhost.Test()
GridView1.DataSource = wsTest.GetTheData(Id)
So far so good.
What I want is to save the records displayed in this Gridview in a LOCAL mdb file. How can this be done?

If I under stand you right, the mdb file is going to be on the client side. If so you cannot directly save it to the database . You can however export the data from the web application and then import it into the database

Thanks for your reply :)
To explain: I have a webform on the remote webserver for ppl to fill in their name address etc; after which the data is getting stored in a remote access 2007 database on that webserver. On my local pc I am working in MS Access 2007 and one of the tables
has the same structure as the one on the webserver. I need to synchronise the data from the those 2 tables on a daily basis...ie importing the latest date to my pc.
Using webservices I can already display the data in a gridview on asp.net website running on my local pc (client) . What you are saying that it is not possible to save any data bound to the gridview?
If so, can you explain how to export/import the data
