I have an html website hosted on a webserver.(this website doesn't interact with a database and this server isn't within my LAN,the web application is hosted in the server of the company who made the website).I need to add to this website an ASP.NET webform(a
data entry) that should interact with a database. So I added SQL Server 2000 database.(what I did is that I got the website folder, added the webform and configured the SQL server 2000 in the web.config)
My question is what should I do to reflect my changes so that we see the updated website online?Should I tell the company that made the website to upgrade the hosting since I have added to the website an asp.net 3.5 webform that interacts with SQL Server
2000? What are the configurations needed? Could you tell me what should I do in details because I have no idea?
How will I give them a copy of my SQL server 2000?

The host has to:
a. allow asp.net sites (ie. be running IIS)
b. allow remote connections to SQL Server
c. more than likely add your IP to their firewall rules for connecting to sql server
You should be able to using sql server management studio to connect to the server using your sql login credentials. You can use something like DTS to get your database across.
Ask you host to help.

Do you mean that I can host my application on my host server while the SQL Server database is on my server so that the application hosted on the company server will have remote connection to my server in order to save data into my database located at my
