I know this problem is documented but the solutions I read do not seem to solve my problem.
I installed the vs sp1 beta and then the Dynamic Data Wizard Preview (0806). When I try to run a sample that uses "ScaffoldColumn" or "ScaffoldTable" the build fails saying:
The type or namespace name 'ScaffoldColumn' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)
I think the newer assemblies did not installed correctly. Reading a post that is about a similar problem I found that I can find if the newer assemblies are installed if I look at the "c:/program files/referenced assemblies/Microsoft/framework/3.5" files.
The NEWEST one in that folder is dated 4/12/2008, but the 0806 Preview is much recently. Shouldn't I have more recent files in that directory?
Can somebody help? May be it is because I have an spanish XP version and "program files" is "archivos de programa" in my hard disk? It seems I can't get the newer files and "Scaffold" is not replaced by "ScaffoldTable" and "ScaffoldColumn".
When I was researching this error I found that everybody talked about the 5/12 DD build. But I was unable to find that build. It seems that build was replaced with "0806" (DD Wizard). That's why I installed the "0806" instead of "5/12".
Many thanks for your help and bye.

You can instal .net 3.5 SP1(http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/vstudio/products/cc533447.aspx)
Make sure you run requirements, and uninstall SP1 Beta.

Yes, and to emphasize the point, any build you saw a reference to (like 5/12) is noe obsolete. The only build of DynamicData that exists now is the final one that comes with 3.5 SP1.

Well, there were some problems but at the end every thing seems to be working!
First, I installed de vs 2008 sp1, but it failed and did'nt finish correctly (arrrghh!). May be the reason was that the antivirus automatically started and began working WHEN the sp1 was installing.
Anyway, I checked the installed programs and VS 2008 and the net framework 3.0 seemed to be right and well.
I then installed JUST the net 3.5 sp1 framework which installed just fine.
When I checked the errors that the dynamic data sample was giving, they weren't there anymore. I then ran the dynamic data sample (with the ScaffoldColumn and ScaffoldTable attributes) and every thing worked just fine.
I'm looking forward to, again, try to install the vs 2008 sp1 (remember that I just have the net 3.5 sp1) and hope everything runs as expected.
So, my problems go away just by installing the sp1 which I am enjoying just now.
Many thanks and bye,

You have to run preparation tool, since you got sp1 beta installed.

I, finally, was able to install the sp1 for VS 2008. I first ran preparation tool, as Adult advised, and every thing is working well now.
Many thanks for all your help.
