I have aspnet_wp.exe running on our production web server - it was setup by our network group with what I believe to be a very generic installation. I have been watching the memory usage of aspnet_wp.exe for a while and noticed it gets quite large (over
300 meg at times). Once it grows to a larger size, it does not seeem to get any smaller. Is it OK for this to get that large? The web server is running Server 2003, dual processor and has 4 gig of RAM. I'm pretty sure we do not have any ASP.NET memory
leaks in the apps running on the server (around 20 webs are hosted of various sizes). My question is are there settings I need to adjust to optimize this server (machine.config, etc)??

This is normal, but there are still optimization techniques for both IIS and Windows. The resource kits have decent references for optimization. See
www.iis.net for help with IIS settings.
